Biography

Jonathan Mitchell is Senior Managing Director in B. Riley Securities' Investment Banking Group, where he leads the firm's SPAC practice. In 2015, Mr. Mitchell's former firm, MK Capital Advisors, merged with B. Riley & Co., LLC, later becoming B. Riley Capital Management, LLC. During his tenure at B. Riley & Co., Mr. Mitchell completed numerous SPAC IPO's and SPAC business combinations, in addition to advising on M&A and capital raising mandates. Mr. Mitchell also co-created the B. Riley SPAC Opportunity Fund, which is a dedicated SPAC investment fund that deploys capital in both SPAC IPOs and SPAC business combinations

During his time at MK Capital Advisors, Mr. Mitchell was an SEC Registered Investment Advisor who provided wealth management services to high net worth individuals and small institutions. Additionally, Mr. Mitchell served as an advisor to the MKCA Opportunity Fund, which is a fund-of-funds

Prior to MK Capital Advisors, Mr. Mitchell was the Equities Manager at Cullen Investments. Mr. Mitchell helped Cullen invest primarily in U.S. listed SPACs, during which Cullen Investments was one of the most active SPAC investors, having invested in more than 100 SPACs, with Mr. Mitchell playing a critical role in the evaluations, analysis and selection of these investments. Prior to his time at Cullen Investments, Mr. Mitchell served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Capital Partners, a global investment company and private investment vehicle

Mr. Mitchell began his career at JP Morgan. Mr. Mitchell previously served on the Advisory Board for Lepe Partners LLP and GSV Capital In addition, Mr. Mitchell served on the Board of Directors for a Nasdaq-listed SPAC, which was sponsored by former Barclays and Citigroup executives
